In line with our Mission to “Effectively Transferring Knowledge and Skills to Optimise Business Processes” Crystal Business Solutions offers a range of training solutions targeting both strategic and tactical requirements in the areas of Lean, Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma.
The programs available are delivered in the following three modes:
- Public Training Programs
- Customised In House Training
- Integrated Training as part of a Facilitated Event
1. 0 Public Training Programs
These programs are delivered in standard locations such as Conference Centres and Hotels with program details available at XXXXX and planned training programs located at XXXX. Group rates are available for clients sponsoring a number of candidates, so please request a quote to avail of this cost saving. Two types of training programs are on offer, which are:
- Modular Training Programs
- Greenbelt and Blackbelt Training and Certification
1.1 Modular Training Programs
These programs are short training programs ranging from 2hrs to 2 days where a specific topic is delivered cost effectively. The courses are designed to ensure that to topic can be applied correctly and immediately on return to workplace.
The benefits of the Modular Training Courses are:
- Short programs resulting in the timely return of employees to the workplace
- Cost effective means of delivering results through newly acquired skill.
- Skill can be applied immediately on return to the workplace.
1.2 Greenbelt Training and Certification
This certification is provided in the area of Lean, Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. Lean and Six Sigma are focused on improving existing processes. Design for Six Sigma is focusing on either a designing a new product or process right the first time or redesigning an existing process that is ultimately not capable of delivering its requirement.
Greenbelt and Blackbelt programs are longer term training programs compared to modular training.
Greenbelt training is an 8 day training program over a four month period (2 days per month). Certification requirements include (a) completing training (b) completing an assessment and (c) delivering an appropriate project.
Blackbelt training is a 20 day training program over four months (5 days per month). Certification requirements include (a) completing training (b) completing an assessment and (c) delivering an appropriate project complete with cost savings greater than €100k.
The benefits of Greenbelt Training and Certification are:
- Lead a process improvement project team using a standard methodology.
- Deliver project results in the area of Cost or Quality, typically of an average of €30k return.
- Support Blackbelt projects
The benefits of Blackbelt Training and Certification are:
- Lead a process improvement project team using a standard methodology..
- Deliver high return on investment projects in the area of Cost or Quality, typically of €100k or greater.
- Develop skillset to lead deployment of six sigma and lean in an organisation.
- Mentor Greenbelt projects.
Certification is available both from Crystal Business Solutions and/or through the ASQ certification process.

2.0 Customised In House Training
These courses are available to clients that would prefer tailored training specific to their own employees and business needs. These programs can be a modification of existing courses currently offered (See Training Programs). Alternatively, we can design a program that meets the specific objectives from the clients Training Needs Analysis.
The benefits of in house training include:
- Customisation of training material to meet the requirements of the client’s specific industry or business, enabling a direct link between knowledge delivered and business application.
- Training exercises can be designed to analyse real time client applications.
- Cost effective training delivered.
- Eliminate cost of external support for future training needs, if required.
Training material is customised complete with client’s logo and templates. Slides are provided in softcopy as opposed to pdf format which facilitates further future modifications.
3.0 Integrated training as part of a Facilitated Event
For clients that want to see results immediately in the workplace, Crystal Business Solutions design and integrate training into a facilitated process improvement event. Training is provided at the beginning of the event and then intermittently delivered as required throughout the event. This event is also planned and facilitated by a coach from Crystal Business Solutions.
Benefits from a Facilitated Event complete with training include:
- Achieve specific business objective within a short period of time.
- Customisation of the training material to allow for in house event execution without the requirement for external support
Examples of Events available for manufacturing and transactional processes include, but are not limited to:
Manufacturing Processes:
- Changeover Reduction using SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies)
- Workplace standardisation for manufacturing (5s)
- Future / Current Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
- Kaizen Events (Improvement Event)
Transactional Processes:
- Workplace standardisation for transactional processes and the office (5s)
- Future / Current Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
