WHAT IS A BUSINESS SCORECARD
A business scorecard is a management tool designed to monitor business performance against business goals. It facilitates the organisation to determine how actual performance is trending against business goals. In the event that a metric is under performing, it prompts the organisation to identify corrective actions to ensure that metric is brought under control to meet quarter or year end target. PROGRAM AIM
The aim of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills to select appropriate business metrics to monitor and control in the form of a business scorecard to ensure that the company mission and vision is achieved. This scorecard is in compliance with certification requirements including ISO9001:2008.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is aimed at personnel who are entering management, are considering management positions or are currently in management and wish to improve the current business tracking mechanism.
PRE REQUISITES This course assumes a basic level of business knowledge
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
1. Link business goals and objectives to the business strategies
2. Select and prioritise key business objectives to track and monitor.
3. Develop a business scorecard to track and monitor appropriate business objectives.

Session 1 What is a business scorecard and how can it help manage a business
Session 2 Linking company mission, vision and strategy to business objectives
Session 3 Develop business objectives to achieve key strategies
Session 4 Define key measures for each objective identified
Session 5 Prioritise measures to effectively manage a business
Session 6 Design a scorecard to record and analyse performance of measures identified
Session 7 Assessment of Learning
ASSESSMENT
On completion of training, trainees will complete a short multiple choice exam.
ABOUT THE TRAINER
The trainer for this course is Maria Ryan, who is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Level 6 FETAC certified trainer. Maria has 15 years industrial experience within the Aerospace, Chemical, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical environments. Within these industries, she has worked in varying roles including Design and Manufacturing Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Continuous Improvement Manager, Quality Manager and Process Excellence Leader. On completion of training, trainees are motivated to apply learning on return to the workplace. This is achieved through practical application of tools coupled with Maria’s high energy and passion for superior performance.
